Lentil.ai is stealth startup that is creating a brand new way to enhance and augment photos using emoji to transport you to another world.
I joined this project while Lentil was just an idea. The founder wanted a way to engage with images that transition from the original photo into the newly generated image. I wanted to create a transition that felt like moving between different worlds.
The method that felt most effective and exciting to use was the gyroscope. I created this proof-of-concept video to mimic those lenticular cards from childhood, transitioning between the original photo and the AI world.
Experiments exploring other phone tilt use cases, from the discover page to stories.
After refining the lenticular interaction, it was implemented into the app.
